Job Postings Increase Significantly Last Seven days – Like Dow, appears to be confidence …  

(Albany, NY,  March 6, 2013) –  Job postings soared significantly this past week which may be consistent with the stock market increases as they reached a new high. “What a turn-around. The job market rocketed upwards the past week consistent with the stock market, showing consistency and confidence”   stated Dan Moran, of Next-Act (www.next-act.com), a career transition management firm located in Colonie.

Postings were 1809 vs. 1520 the week before, a rather healthy increase.

Other markets in NYS saw mixed results. The Capital Region continues to still outpace Buffalo, Rochester and Syracuse, all larger markets with more employers and population.  

National Job Scene

Job postings increased slightly nationally. As of 3/6/13/2013  there were 528,339 down slightly from 539,700  the week before.
