Job Postings Continue to Increase Staying above 4000

(Albany, NY, July 20, 2011) – Job postings continued to increase the past week, staying above 4000 – coming in at just about 4350, up from 4000 the prior week showing consistency in the market and dovetailing with national reports of a stronger second half of 2011 for jobs. “The trend toward a strong summer continues, especially in the Capital Region. Other markets in the State fell slightly last week with the exception of Syracuse. Overall – good news for job seekers and those considering entering the market after being on the sidelines during the recession”, stated Dan Moran, Founder & President of Next-Act (www.next-act.com), a career transition management firm located in Colonie.

Job postings increased in other New York State markets this past week after the holiday week. Albany is the smallest market in size when compared to the other markets and continued to outpace with more job postings.
